Soundwave

Fact: G1 Soudwave is the best decepticon. Some people say Megatron, Starscream, Devastator or someone else, but Megatron and Devastator are a close 2nd and 3rd and Starscream is cool but kind of fails at a lot of things. And a radio / cassette player isn't the best alternate form, but I'll get to that later, and at least he doesn't turn into a tiny pistol that has to be used by someone else. Sorry, Megatron, but it's true. And in the video at the bottom, you can see that he can beat Devastator in a fight, which is impressive, most impressive. He is a decepticon yet. - sorry. Plus, no one's voice is cooler than Soundwave's. Not even Optimus Prime or Unicron. And they have awesome voices. Then of course, there's the matter of having mini-decepticons come out of his chest as tapes/rectangles and unfold into robots which, starting with the coolest, are Ravage, Rumble and Frenzy (I'm counting them as one) and Laserbeak. Laserbeak would be second coolest, but Rumble and Frenzy can turn their arms into jackhammer things and make earthquakes. But Ravage is a tiger thing, so he wins. Back to why Soundwave is the coolest though, he's the only transformer with the guts to turn into a radio (not counting Barricade's little homie from the first Michael Bay movie - he's tiny so he doesn't have the option to be something cool). And in the first G1 episode, he turns into some kind of Cybertronian streetlight thing to hide from passing Autobots. He's a smart guy. And he has the ability to spy on people and not be noticed by anyone, even though he's a giant robot with glowing eyes. That's not as much a power as just a little bit of skill and a lot of luck, but still. He's like a giant robotic ninja. Especially when he fights, he is a force to be reckoned with. And unlike a lot of Transformers fans, I actually don't think Michael Bay ruined the franchise. I think they're really not that bad. The one thing those movies did ruin though, is Soundwave. At first, they made him into a satellite with a regular decepticon voice, which I tolerated since it was new and different from most of the other characters, but then they made him into just another car transformer. Considering the fact that many unsophisticated fools would probably not see the awesomeness of Soundwave's original voice, the crime of changing it is understandable but not forgivable. Same with him being a satelite. But making him turn into a car was just wrong. To quote Jean Luc Picard, "The line must be drawn here. This far. No farther." For maximum effect, picture that being said by an angry Patrick Stewart. And before I forget, one last cool thing about him: that gun / missile launcher on his shoulder is awesome. It reminds me a little of War Machine. So now let's do a recap: Soundwave is the best because of his voice, his ability to deploy smaller robots out of his chest, his stealth and fighting abilities, the fact that he turns into a radio, and his weaponry. In my opinion, he's actually probably the coolest transformer ever. And that's counting Autobots, Decepticons and third parties like Unicron and so on. As he would say, Soundwave superior. Everyone else inferior. If you're not familiar with G1 Soundwave, watch this video.
